Welcome to the Watchmen Brigade
This site is in search of Intercessory Prayer Warriors (IPW) on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people. Our hope is that you will come together with a group of intercessors on a regular basis (say once a week or once a month). You can come to this site and you will find regularly updated matters to pray about as listed below. Please do let us know if you or your group can be counted on as IPW with the Watchmen Brigade. Here are the current prayer points.
1. Pray that the Obama administration will be hindered in its efforts to have Israel give up more land for peace and a divided Jerusalem.
2. Pray that Israel has the courage and wisdom of God in dealing with the nuclear threat of Iran.
3. Pray Christians will sense the growing anti-Semitism world wide and seek God’s help for Israel to prepare accordingly.
4. Pray that the elected leadership and the judges in the U.S. and Israel “will be saved and come to knowledge of the truth.” (I Tim. 2:1- 6). Renew or remove!
5. Pray that Israel’s leadership will stand on the God’s covenant promises for a home land for the Jews.
6. Pray that Israel’s Jihadist enemies will be defeated, disarmed and their terrorist infrastructure dismantled. (Psalm 83)
7. Pray that the Obama administration will recognize and act against the dire threat of Islamic Jihadists.
8. Pray that we’ll “have the strength to escape all that is about to happen” (Lk 21-36)
9. Pray that Israel’s heart will be prepared to receive their Messiah.
10. Pray God’s benediction the way He intended it to be prayed. (Num.6:22-27).
YAHWEH bless you and keep you;
YAHWEH make his face to shine upon on you and be gracious to you;
YAHWEH turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Pray for Israel!
For centuries hardly a single voice was raised in confession of the sins of the Church against the Jews. Times have changed and the Spirit of the Lord is calling us to a new heart towards His Chosen People. We can be sure God is working mightily towards that day when Israel will be as “life from the dead” (Rom. 11:15) for the unbelieving Gentile world. Let us pray together for Israel and the Jewish people.
As An Act of Penitence
- For the cruelty of Christian people to the Jews in past generations.
- For the revival of anti-Semitism in Christianized countries.
- For words and deeds which have often made the name of Christian a symbol of oppression and hatred.
- For racial prejudice and exclusiveness, rampant among Christians in many lands, and showing itself in our own country.
- For our own indifference, and for our readiness to condemn the sins of others and to forget our own.
As An Act of Intercession
- For the Jews of Russia and Ukraine subjected to persecution and contempt.
- For Jewish families, our neighbors and fellow-citizens, to desire to go home to Israel while there is an open door.
- For all governments dealing with Israel, that they may have the will and courage to do what is fair and right.
- For the leaders of the Church in America, that they may show forth the spirit of Christ in all their dealings with the Jewish people.
- For all those working to bring reconciliation between Jew and Christian.
As An Act of Thanksgiving
- For the writings of the Hebrew prophets and for all the scriptures of the Jews.
- For the coming of the Son of David to be the Savior of all mankind.
- For the willingness of many Jews to forgive the wrongs which they have suffered through the centuries.
- For the courage of the many pastors who stand against replacement theology in all parts of the Church and support Israel wherever they can.
- For the re-establishment of the Nation of Israel and the hope it gives the Church.
A Prayer for the Jewish People and the Land of Israel
God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob,
have mercy on Your ancient people, the house of Israel .
We confess that Your Church has added to their affliction.
We have rejoiced over the children of Judah
in the day of their desolation
and spoken proudly in the day of their distress.
Deliver them from any storm of persecution.
Fulfill your Covenant promises
for Jerusalem and the Land of Israel .
Bring them home to their promised land
from the four corners of the earth as you have promised.
Speedily give to them all the mercy and blessing you have proclaimed.
Pour out your Spirit of grace and supplications.
Keep them secure in the land of their inheritance,
build the walls of Jerusalem
and make it the joy of the whole earth.
Have mercy upon these people and hasten their
Redemption through the soon coming of their Messiah.
Hear us, O YAHWEH, for Your Name’s sake,
and answer us for Your honor,
in the name of Jesus Christ our Redeemer
