RYAN JONES — ISRAEL TODAY —
The World Council of Churches recently sponsored a debate on the situation of Christians in the Middle East that went unnoticed by most, but which provided another huge red flag in regards to the direction the Church is going as it relates to Israel and the Jews.
Meeting in Volos, Greece, a collection of 30 theologians, social scientists, politicians and church representatives labored for five days to decisively identify the reason for shrinking Christian communities across the Middle East.
They could have saved their time and their money for other things like, you know, feeding the poor, because everyone already knew what the conclusion was going to be. Israel, and specifically Zionism, is making life untenable for Christians in the region, announced the group in its closing statement.
“…conflict situations such as Palestine…have seen significant drops in the Christian populations because of Israeli occupation,” said the World Council of Churches, ignoring the myriad other reasons why Christians no longer feel comfortable or safe in a society where Hamas can win a landslide electoral victory.
In place like Egypt, where Christians are increasingly being targeted for their faith in the wake of “democratic” revolutions, the council attributed the shrinking Christian demographic to “economic and immigration realities.”
This was to be expected from the World Council of Churches, a Geneva-based organization that represents 347 Protestant churches and denominations, and counts among its constituents more than 500 million Christians world-wide. In a 2007 conference in Jordan that also focused on dwindling Christian communities in the Middle East, the group called for a political crusade to end the Jews’ “occupation” of their biblical lands.
When it comes to the Christian situation in the Middle East, Islam is just not a problem. It’s all those pesky Jews.
The Church in general has a long history of dedicating resources to harassing the Jews and painting them as the “enemies of Christ(rians),” which the Bible specifically warns against.
Many thought we had moved beyond all that, that the horrors of the Holocaust had finally woken the Church to how wrong it had been. In fact, those Christians involved today in this new brand of Israel-bashing will most loudly protest the label of anti-Semitism. But, as the saying goes, “methinks they do protest too loudly.”
What the World Council of Churches and others like it are doing is rebranding that most anti-Semitic of doctrines – Replacement Theology.
Instead of calling for their heads, this new brand of Replacement Theology sheds crocodile tears for the Jews as mistreated lost souls who once tasted God’s goodness, but have since been replaced as His “chosen” because of their rejection of Jesus.
They do not hate the Jews (at least not openly), but they believe the biblical promises made to national Israel have expired. And that is where the State of Israel comes in. If God’s promises to national Israel are no longer valid, then modern Israel has nothing to do with biblical prophecy or God’s plan of global redemption.
And, if God’s big picture plans don’t include the reborn Jewish state, then these Christians feel freer to pursue their unbiblical humanist agenda – seeking what they call “social justice” for Palestinian Christians.
But Jesus never taught his followers to fight for “social justice” by seeking political sovereignty. He taught that His followers would be persecuted and should endure that situation with humility and meekness in order to reach their oppressors, real or perceived, with His message of love.
Ultimately, the aim of groups like the World Council of Churches is not biblical, it’s not even about genuine social justice. Whether they know it or not, whether they accept it or not, their agenda is about advancing the cause of Islam and reversing what God is doing in this land.
The World Council of Churches is a well-known
kom-rat front organization for the commies during the Cold War.
It is obvious that stupidity still exist in this world, on top of blind anti semitism. It is these blinders, worn by these stupid people, most of whom are Christians, that will be their downfall and will bring catastrophe to the Christians living in the arab countries of today. There is no persecution of anybody, men or woman or child, no matter what religion they are, in Israel today, in fact, muslim arabs who live in Israel today, have the same rights and advantages as Jews in Israel, something no muslim arabs don’t have in their own arab countries, much less Christians. Unfortunately appeasement is being taken to new hights nowadays, which makes it clear that we haven’t learned a thing from our history in Europe, and that is that appeasement doesn nothing but emboldens the enemy and gives him more courage to go ahead and do its evil thing since he will feel that we are weak and don’t have the stomach to stand up to them. It happened in 1928, and it happens today again, I just hope that it won’t take another holocaust for them to learn a lesson that was learned about 70 years ago. Unfortunately, most of European Christians are anti semitic, for some unknown reason, and this meeting of the stupid minds of the church prroves this beyond any shadow of a doubt. Another thing that is beyond any shadow of a doubt is that they will suffer because of their blind stupidity and their tormentors will be none other than the muslims they so yearn to appease, no matter how you look at it, there is no appeasement of the fascist muslims that will save their skin, the only thing that will save them is to open their eyes and fight back against these fascists, or pay the price with their lives and way of life, it’s that easy.
Ryan, you are mistaken about WCC-style Christians. They are not repackaging “Replacement Theology,” because most of them no longer believe in a “chosen people” who could be replaced. In their revised and unbiblical theology, everybody and every people–regardless of concept of God–are “children of God,” according to this view. The only thing remaining, therefore, is to ensure that all people, particularly the perceived “underdogs,” are accorded justice and fairness. In the Palestinian/Israeli conflict, the Palestinians are seen as the obvious underdogs. That is why they receive WCC, NCC, Protestant Liberal support.
Oh, Merciful YAHWEH….
Forgive Every Man, Woman, Church & Organization…that “publicly” appears to support ISRAEL..while, “secretly”..Condemning HER. YOU’RE WORD, OH..LORD..IS TRUE! “BLESS THOSE WHO BLESS ISRAEL..and CURSE THOSE WHO CURSE HER”. Father…Mercifully…I ask…”Bring Repentance”…to Those Who Secretly Have “CURSED YOUR HOLY LAND & PEOPLE” IN THEIR HEARTS….THAT THEY “MAY LIVE”…..

Our whole family line left the Methodist Church years ago because of their views with the World Council of Churches.
Friends, it is NOT “Replacement Theology” that drives the liberal churchmen of the WCC to oppose Israel. Their “fairness doctrine” leads them to conclude (the Bible notwithstanding) that God could never have chosen a particular people, and that no particular peoples, whether Jewish or Christian, are chosen today. Such would not be “fair.” The only thing that will be fair, in liberal thinking, is to return the Land to the people who occupied it before the Israelis.
Excuse me? But if a person is against Israel that is what says they of a truth are. And that is that THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIANS. Christians LOVE Israel–you can always tell the fakes–the ones who “diss” Israel for man’s approval and on the side of the devils lies.
As for myself you may have already guessed? I am a Christian and I LOVE THE CHOSEN PEOPLE OF G-D.
I pray for each of you in Israel…. ENOUGH..
*I pray you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.
*I pray you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
*I pray you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.
*I pray you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
*I pray you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
*I pray you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
*I pray you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.
*I pray you enough faith in the Lord your G-D, so that instead of trusting any human man – that cannot be trusted – Israel will instead seek the G-D of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He sees all and He knows all. He hears all too..When you seek Him with all your hearts He will be there for you on that Day.
“They say, it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but an entire life to forget them.”
The True Israel is made up of those who put their faith in God and his Messiah. The Church is the inheritor of the name Israel and therefore is the rightful inheritor of the land, and they will get the land at the 2nd coming of Christ Jesus. Jews no longer have any divine claim to Israel. The zionists simply hijacked the name…it has nothing to do with Judaism..is about Jewish nationalism…it’s about race. Israel today is not the Israel of the Bible. The Bible tells us that Jews would be returned to the land twice in the last days: 1. for punishment/destruction at the hands of Anti-Christ 2. for Blessing. The “remnant” that gets the blessing are those that put their trust in Christ Jesus. A huge percent of Jews, mostly orthodox are opposed to the very idea of a “Jewish” state. God’s “chosen people” are not a particular race….his chosen people are those that believe in him. Jews broke their covenant with God…they are no longer his “chosen people”…the church is. Only a remnant of those that call themselves Jews will be saved…those that come to Jesus. They, and the rest of the church are the true inheritors of Israel…until the coming of the messiah, we are called to share.
