Hanukkah for Kids (December 20-28, 2011) is our newest addition. This is a great resource to learn about the Maccabees, Antiochus (boo!), and the Temple. The Hanukkah story is a wonderful narrative of good guys versus bad guys. Spoiler alert: The underdog wins despite all odds!
Rosh Hashanah for Kids (September 16-18, 2012) gives children and their families all the knowledge and resources they need to celebrate the Biblical new year. L’shana tova (that’s Hebrew for happy new year)!
Sukkot for Kids (October 1-7, 2012) explains one of Judaism’s most important Biblical feasts. This section is a great resource to learn about the 40 years of wandering in the desert, the Clouds of Glory, and building the Tabernacle. Get coloring pages, a template for building a model Tabernacle, decorating ideas for your own Sukkah, recipes, videos, and games.
Yom Ha’atzmaut for Kids (April 26, 2012) is Israel’s Birthday! This page just for kids teaches all about Israel’s birth as a modern country. We have coloring pages, games, videos, mazes, recipes, and more. Celebrate Israel’s birthday as a family and use these Independence Day lessons to learn about the “Apple of God’s eye.”
Shavuot for Kids (May 27, 2012) has all the usual goodies including videos to teach the ten commandments, games to learn the story of Mount Sinai, and a calendar to count down the Omer.
Purim for Kids (March 8-9, 2012) includes coloring pages, videos, and quizzes. Use these resources to learn the story of Esther and how God used her to save her people!
Passover for Kids (April 7-13, 2012) is full of exciting games, videos, lessons, and more. This is a great teaching tool to learn all about how God delivered the Hebrew people out of slavery in Egypt and brought them to the promised land.
